In the pre-race interview on Race Day built by the home depot he sounded down to me. He was responding to the Reagan Smith controversy and he said he wasnt so
sure he deserved that win anymore, especially after what Kyle Petty said on Trading Paint. I wondered if that, as well as a few other drivers comments, Biffle
and Jr, got to him and stole some of that momentum from him.
Then I was happy at how stong his car was initially, and even after what appared to be a bad set of tires that made him so loose. Then the speeding violation, UGGGG, seems how this season has gone so many times. Get so excited and happy at how well hes doing, hes looking strong, dominating and then he gets a speeding violation. Thankfully he had a strong car, finished 11th and was able to maintain his points position standings. Oh well, on to Martinsville. Hopefully I can bring Tony and the #20 team some luck as I will be there all weekend cheering them on. WHOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I know at the beginning of the race, Tony kept coming over the radio with funny comments and sounded very confident...there was even one point where he
actuallygiggle over the radio! He was in such a great mood till the car got loose on him, then i think it went to H*** in a hand basket. He got the car back
later but he just ran out of time. But i agree, On to Martinsville!

I agree with you guys about how the Kyle Petty comment got to Tony. You know he was so happy about winning and then all week long there was comment after
comment that he shouldn't have been awarded the win. I'm sure those negative comments can get to you, even someone like Tony who does not need his ego
pumped up.
That car was so great at the beginning of the race and I thought it was going to be our night again but it was just not meant to be. I am pumped up though that Jeff Burton won and I think that it is so funny that in the media room, Jimmie (who had already been given the trophy by a lot of guys) Johnson said he was pissed that he didn't win. Well, that's too bad little buddy, I guess you have some new competition now so live with it. This CHASE is not over and that is great!!!! On to Martinsville and 20cris20 you have to bring home the win for us the same way Brooklyn, Slone and I did at Talladega. We are counting on you.!!! ~Margie~ |

Way to put pressure on me Margie
I will say, out of the chase contenders, I was happy to see Burton win it instead of Biffle, Jimmy or Edwards. I was happy to see Burton move closer to stealing JJ's thunder and I hope he continues. If Tony doesnt win, I want Burton to win. |

Hi Everyone. I've been reading this board for awhile, but this is my first time posting. I saw the "Raceday" show earlier today and Tony did look
down when Hermie was talking to him. When he said that he was starting to doubt if he should have gotten the win, I wanted to blow my lid and throttle all of
the people who said negative things this week. Tony won that race fair and square and deserved that win. I also saw the Tradin Paint episode and I don't
believe Kyle meant for his comments to be a personal jab at Tony, but that's how it came across on TV. These guys really need to think before they speak!
Sometimes people forget the repercussions their words can have.
Tony did look much more positive when he was interviewed by Dave Byrnes from ESPN during driver intros. He seemed pumped and he had such a great car tonite. He seemed like he was on such a "high" this week, with the win and the Army announcement. I've noticed a change in him recently, it seems like he's in a really good place in his life right now. I believe this new team has breathed some life into this man. Let's hope Zippy can be a good cheerleader this week and get in his head and get him back in that winning form. This race aside, Smoke still has momentum on his side and should be able to pull off another win or two before the season ends. And, I agree, I'm happy that Jeff Burton won tonight - and not Jimmie, Carl or Kyle. I don't mean any disrespect to their fans, but it would be nice to see different drivers win throughout the season...and not just the same group of guys over and over again. And if Tony can't get the championship this year, it would be great if Burton did. He's a consummate gentleman and driver and deserves to win a championship also. But my one and only driver will always be Tony. Go Smoke!!! |

Hey Montana, Welcome aboard to the best Tony forum ever. You will love being here with all the fans of Tony Stewart. We are polite and supportive of each
other and we always try very hard to stay positive about our guy. I agree with you that Kyle Petty probably didn't mean to personally jab Tony but it sure
came across that way, didn't it?
We try each week to send happy, positive thoughts Tony's way and now we have a new member to help us out. He is our CHAMPION already and nothing will ever change that. ~Margie~ |

Great comeback to 11th after the speeding penalty. I'll be at Martinsville cheering and screaming for a Smoke victory, too. As far as the Talladega
issue, I wonder if it would be the same controversy if it was Junior. I have nothing against Jr and kinda like him but I'm tired of hearing the talk. If
Smoke didn't win at Talladega, Junior shouldn't have won at Michigan because he kept passing the pace car and Greg Biffle shouldn't have won last
year at Kansas because he ran out of fuel and was passed by other cars before he took the checkered flag. I thought the rule was no passing under the yellow
line at any time. Maybe I'm biased but I don't think Smoke forced him below the yellow line. He was already there before Smoke blocked.
That's my rant for the day! SMOKE IN VICTORY LANE AND CLIMBING THE FENCE @ MARTINSVILLE. Seats are close to the start finish line so maybe if he climbs the fence, I'll be able to
get some cool pics!

Welcome Montana, and nice post.
Nettie20lover, where are you sitting, we are in blue ridge tower section J row 29. I think its fairly close to the start finish line also, at least thats what it appeared to be in virtual tour of the track. Let me know so I can wave your way if and when Tony crosses that finish line in the lead. |

Thank you everyone for the nice welcome. I really enjoy reading your posts on this board and everyone seems very nice and polite. I admit, some of your posts
give me a good laugh at times. I especially like the ones when some of you start to "fantasize" about Tony. Yes, I've had some fantasies too. Our
dear Smoke is a bad boy, but he's an awfully "dreamy" bad boy.
Everyone have a great nite! :-) |

I have a really good idea how to get Smoke to stop speeding through pit row. I am thinking he needs a good spanking!! Any volunteers besides myself????

Welcome Montana! I am new too. This is just my second post. I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts. I've been a fan of Tony's for several years
and finally decided to join in. Montana, I have to agree with you.
I watched the Raceday interview and Tony did look down. I wanted to knock some sense into him and tell him not to listen to what other people say. I swear the media analyzes everything to death. If it would've been any other driver who had won the race, the issue would be dead by now. Anyway, I'm proud of Tony for coming back and finishing 11th. I was glad Burton won the race. Burton even said before the race that everybody already is giving the trophy to Johnson but it's not over. I agree with what he said. The last I checked, it takes more than 4 or 5 races to win the championship. If Tony doesn't win the champioship, I would be happy if Burton does win it. GO SMOKE!!!! |

I hate it when Smoke looks so down. Just makes me want to hug (ok...I'm still a little shy and I'm being nice here) him and tell him it's all
going to be ok. It's too bad that people have made him second guess himself. He won the race fair and square and should be very proud of the way he did
it. On another subject...did someone mention a spanking??? Hhhmmm....could be very interesting!
