I was just watching This Week in NASCAR and two of the funniest WHOOPS happened during the show. First of all, there are times that they have some other
person doing the announcing besides the guys from TNT and/or SPEED. Well, during one of these segments the guy called the race the Dodge/Save Mart 350.
Whoops, wasn't the race the Toyota/Save Mart 350?
Then, and this was even funnier. They were showing all the parts with the radio communication and Robby Gordon was really mad at his crew chief that he didn't pit before the caution and then got burned. The crew chief came back and said, "Sorry, if I was psychic, I would have pitted you last lap." When they went back to the studio, Chad Knaus commented on how this could happen and sometimes cautions come at the wrong time but unless a crew chief has ESPN then mistakes occur. WHAT???? gee, Chad did you mean ESP? Neither Steve nor Michael caught it but I just about fell off my couch when I heard him say that. I think Chad Knaus is so smart and so well spoken that it was funny to hear a blooper come out of his mouth.
BTW, he also mentioned that Kurt Busch was a good friend and he was very sorry that Jimmie turned him on Sunday. Michael came back with "Well, Jimmie also turned Reutti, are you sorry about that too?" Chad got kind of quiet after that.
