Be sure to tune in to the Great American Country channel (GAC) this Sunday, June 14th at 9:30 p.m. ET to see Ryan Newman and the No. 39 U.S. Army/Haas Automation Chevrolet featured on the half-hour premiere of this season's "Drafting Partners."
"Drafting Partners," which is produced by NASCAR Media Group, pairs a country music star and a NASCAR driver for a rambling conversation on songs and speed as they each spend a little time in one another's environment. Newman and his team were paired with country music artist Josh Turner, who is multi-platinum recording artist best known for his hit single "Long Black Train."
As part of the TV show, Newman and country music artist Turner took turns learning about the others job and even spent time in each other's normal surroundings. Tuner joined the team at Texas Motor Speedway in April, where he watched practice and spoke to Newman and other members of the team about their typical weekend at the track. Then in June, Newman went to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville to see Turner and his band perform.
